Reveals:

Know all things given by God:

1 Corinthians 2:12-13
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God,
13 which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words.

Notice what kind of Spirit we’ve received … not that of the world, but the One from God. This is the driving force behind our Christian life. It is a Godly force. Now, I’m not saying that the Holy Spirit is just some inanimate force. He is very God; and yet He provides the creative force in our lives to live that God-like life of the Bible. This says one of the reasons we’ve received Him … that we may know the things freely given to us by God. Remember that it is the spirit of man that knows the thoughts of man and the Spirit of God that knows the thoughts of God. Since He knows God’s thoughts and is inside of us, He can reveal them to us. He also shines His light on God’s Word so that we may understand what His Word says we have and who we are in Christ. These things aren’t taught by human wisdom and study per se. They are taught by His Spirit. He uses spiritual thoughts and words to reveal God’s desires to us. When we pay attention to His directions, we hear from God, either through a revelation in His Word or through our minds about a situation in our lives.

If you could hear God speak, I believe this is what He would say:
"I have spoken to you My children through My Spirit who indwells you. He will show you all that is Mine and all that is yours. What is Mine is yours and He will show you how to obtain them in your lifetime. He will guide you into the paths of righteousness so that you may be an example of how I want My children to be. You shall draw people after Me by the life you live through Him. He will not leave you fatherless, but will lead you into My presence. I will never leave you alone because He indwells you. I will show you through Him all that is coming upon the world. I will show you how to overcome in spite of all that is coming upon the sons of darkness. He will shine My light upon your pathway and show you how to come into My presence.”

            45. Through the indwelling Holy Spirit, I know all things given to me by God. He freely gave them to me; I didn’t have to earn them.

We are in the Spirit:

Romans 8:9-11
9 However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.
10 If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

Since the Spirit of God dwells in us, then we are in the Spirit and not the flesh. If we are in the Spirit, then we should walk like we are in the Spirit and not like we are still in the flesh. Our body is as good as dead. This is because of what Adam did, and we then copied in various ways before salvation. However, our spirit is alive because of the righteousness of Christ dwelling within us. One day, Jesus will return. Then because of His Spirit dwelling in us, we will all be given life to our bodies even if we have physically died before that time. So, we need not fear death. It will only be for a season, and then we will rise from the dead. The real “us” will never die.

If you could hear God speak, I believe this is what He would say:
"My children, I am in you and you are in Me. I have come into you to live forever. You are not orphans. You are My children. You have chosen Me and I have chosen you. I have chosen to dwell in you forever. I will never leave you nor forsake you. You are Mine and I will be with you forever through My Spirit who indwells you. He only wants the best for you and He will see to it that you come into all the blessings that are yours. He will not leave you alone. He will always be there to guide and protect you.”

            44. Because the Spirit of the living God dwells in me, I know that I am in the Spirit.

Indwelling:

            Know He abides in us:

1 John 3:24
24 The one who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. We know by this that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

1 John 4:13
13 By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.

When we came to Him, God gave us of His Spirit. Since we can know that the Holy Spirit dwells within us, we know that God Himself dwells within us. Some people have actually felt something within them after conversion, while some have never felt anything.
In the first volume, Your Destiny, I mentioned that the evening after I asked Jesus to come into my heart I was at a basketball game. I felt something like a hollow rubber ball around my heart. The enemy was shooting arrows at my heart, but they bounced off the ball.
You too may have felt something and perhaps more than once. Each person is different.

If you could hear God speak, I believe this is what He would say:
"You can know that you are Mine. When you sense the presence of My Spirit, then you can know that I am in you and you are in Me. I have not left you alone. I have sent My Spirit to abide in you. He it is who will bring you into My Kingdom. Do not fear. I will never desert you. I will always be with you, and you can always sense My presence in you. Trust in My Spirit to guide you into the paths of righteousness. He will show you the way. You cannot survive without Him. He it is who will bring you into victory.”

            43. I know for certain that I have Jesus abiding in me and I in Him. I know this because of His Spirit living inside me which He gave me.

Water metaphor:

            Baptized into one body:

1 Corinthians 12:13
13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.

We may be different from other believers throughout the world, but we are all part of the same body. Therefore, we should not look down on them nor condemn them for their beliefs that are different from ours. We were all made to drink of one Spirit, so we should have the same driving force within us. We should all be approaching the kind of person Jesus was; even though we might get there from different directions.

If you could hear God speak, I believe this is what He would say:
"You are one in Me. There are no boundaries in Me. There are no differences in Me. I am One, and you shall be one. There is no division in Me. I am the only One, and you cannot succeed as separate peoples. You must be one as the Father and I are One. Abide in Me, and you shall be one … for My Spirit is not a spirit of division, but of unity. Stay in Me, and you shall be one with one another. They are your brethren. Do not treat them as less than you. Treat them as you would Me.”

            42. I was baptized by the Holy Spirit into one body. I am one with all other believers.
