For this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant, so that, since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

 Promise of eternal inheritance:

Hebrews 9:15

15 For this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant, so that, since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

We have a new covenant based on better promises than the old. The old was good enough for Moses so it must have been pretty good. This covenant has even better promises. How magnificent it is! Under the old, the death of an animal was necessary when man failed. Under the new, the death of the Son was necessary. How much better is the blood of the Son than that of an animal? How much better then our covenant! We have been called and we shall receive the promise. What is that promise? This verse tells us that it is an eternal inheritance. We shall inherit eternal life. That is His promise. If He promised it, then we can depend on it happening.

If you could hear God speak to you, I believe this is what He would say:

"You have been chosen, My children. It wasn’t just circumstances or a whim of Mine. I chose you deliberately to be My children. I chose you to inherit the Kingdom. It was prepared for My Son and He chose to share it with you. You shall reap the benefits of His Kingdom. He has done all that is necessary for you to enter that Kingdom and to enjoy its benefits here on earth; not just in Heaven. You are My chosen ones and shall reign on earth. He has done all that was necessary to obtain this Kingdom. It is up to you to step into that Kingdom and to enjoy all the benefits He has obtained for you.”

            18. I have been called to receive the promise of eternal inheritance. I can count on it happening because Jesus gave His life that it might come about.

I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints

 Heirs of the Father:

            Hope of His calling:

Ephesians 1:18

18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

Many people in the world have no hope. We as Christians have an exceedingly great hope. We have that hope because Jesus went before us. We believe that He died and rose again. If He did, then we will. If we don’t believe that He did, then we have no hope and are most to be pitied in the world. However we do believe and through that belief we know that one day we shall rise again. This verse also talks about the riches of the glory of His inheritance in us, the saints. If it is His glory, think what that will mean for us! Anything having to do with His glory is far beyond our imagination. If man could imagine what His glory will bring, then it wouldn’t be a glory befitting the God of the universe. Remember that He didn’t call us just to leave us. He called us to glory.

If you could hear God speak to you, I believe this is what He would say:

"My children, there is no hope in the world. There is only hope in Me; and that Hope is the hope of the world; for there is no other way to Me than through that entrance. You have that Hope residing in you; for you have entered into the Kingdom of God. There is no other way to Me than through that entrance. And that entrance is through the blood. That Hope is of glory and honor through Me. You have all glory through Me and all honor through Me. In Me you have all that is necessary for the Kingdom of God. You will walk in glory and honor is this world and the next as you allow Me to bring it about. You will have all peace in Me in this age and in the next. Through Me you will be glorious and will achieve all excellence.”

            17. Because He called me, I can have a glorious hope in Him. It is a hope that will not disappoint.

Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

Will receive crown of life:

James 1:12

12 Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

This talks about us receiving the crown of life. This crown does not come cheaply. It requires that we persevere under trial. Most Christians never come into a real trial of their faith. Sure we all come into situations where our faith in God is tested, but we’re never in a trial like this. Our lives are seldom at stake in the trial. Our well-being may come under trial, but we’re seldom challenged to the point where confessing our faith in Him could result in our death. He died so that He could give us life for death. If we’re willing to do the same for Him, we will receive the crown of life.

If you could hear God speak to you, I believe this is what He would say:

"You have a great reward, My children when you love Me and follow after Me. I will give you that crown of life. I know you do not seek it; but it shall be yours in abundance. You shall be with Me in all My glory when I return for you. It will not be long until you will see Me face to face. Then you will know Me even as I know you. Do not despair at the length of time that it takes. It is but a moment of time in eternity. Then you shall be with Me forever.”

            16. If I should come under trial, I will persevere and receive the crown of life.

But if anyone loves God, he is known by Him.

 Known by the Father:

1 Corinthians 8:3

3 but if anyone loves God, he is known by Him.

How does one know that God even knows he/she exists? This verse tells us one of the ways. Do you love God? If so, then you are known by Him. This is because we cannot love anyone in the way this verse means without knowing Him and having His Spirit dwelling within us. Since God is love, we cannot have this kind of love without having Him. This knowing by the Father is much more than knowing some acquaintance. It is a deep intimate knowing of us by Him.

If you could hear God speak to you, I believe this is what He would say:

"My children, you know Me. The world tries to find Me by their own works and by their own searching. But you are not searching for Me. You have found Me. You cannot find Me by searching. I cannot be found; for I hide Myself from those that would find Me. I seek after those that I would be found by. I seek them out and I call them by name; and they come unto Me and I love them and they rejoice in Me. You have found Me because I willed it to be so. I let you find Me because I desire to have an intimate relationship with you. Do not think that the world can find Me by their good works and high education. You cannot find Me that way. You can find Me only when I desire that you do so. Then you are Mine forever.”

            15. Since I love God, then I am intimately known by Him.
