Chapter 11
Various
Following are verses that cover
other themes that concern our destiny. Every one of these promises is ours. We
can count on it. It is established in Heaven, and thus will come to pass here
on earth.
Wrath:
Not destined us for wrath:
1 Thessalonians 5:9-10
9 For
God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord
Jesus Christ,
10 who
died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with
Him.
The world and those in it have a
destiny of their own. Their destiny is the wrath of God. That is not our
destiny. Ours is for obtaining salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ. As I’ve
said earlier, our spirit is just as saved as it ever will be. Our soul and body
though have a ways to go. This verse says that whether we are awake or asleep, we
will live together with the Lord. Again there is no fear in death. We’re going
to live with our most gracious Savior, whether we die before He comes back or
we’re still alive on that Day.
If you could hear God speak to you, I believe this is what
He would say:
"My
children, I have in My heart only love for you, not vengeance. There is nothing
to fear from Me. I will not bring My wrath upon you; only My love. There is
nothing harmful in My desires for you. You will experience My joy and My peace,
but not My wrath. That is reserved for those who reject Me. I have chosen you
for peace and prosperity, not evil. I will walk with you in My glory. I will
walk with you from day to day as you listen to Me. I will show you the way to
go in your every day life. There is nothing that I would withhold from My
children that is good for them. They shall experience My blessings in this life
and the one to come.”
114. I am not destined for wrath but for obtaining salvation through Jesus. I along with the other believers will live together with Him.
