We are in the Spirit:
Romans 8:9-11
9 However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit
of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does
not belong to Him.
10 If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the
spirit is alive because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He
who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies
through His Spirit who dwells in you.
Since the Spirit of God dwells in
us, then we are in the Spirit and not the flesh. If we are in the Spirit, then
we should walk like we are in the Spirit and not like we are still in the
flesh. Our body is as good as dead. This is because of what Adam did, and we then
copied in various ways before salvation. However, our spirit is alive because
of the righteousness of Christ dwelling within us. One day, Jesus will return.
Then because of His Spirit dwelling in us, we will all be given life to our
bodies even if we have physically died before that time. So, we need not fear
death. It will only be for a season, and then we will rise from the dead. The
real “us” will never die.
If you could hear God speak, I believe this is what He would
say:
"My
children, I am in you and you are in Me. I have come into you to live forever.
You are not orphans. You are My children. You have chosen Me and I have chosen
you. I have chosen to dwell in you forever. I will never leave you nor forsake
you. You are Mine and I will be with you forever through My Spirit who indwells
you. He only wants the best for you and He will see to it that you come into
all the blessings that are yours. He will not leave you alone. He will always
be there to guide and protect you.”
44. Because the Spirit
of the living God dwells in me, I know that I am in the Spirit.
