So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows

 More value than many sparrows:

31 “So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.

7 “Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.

 

            Too many Christians have a low self-esteem. They feel that God doesn’t care for them or else doesn’t have time for their problems. Here’s the good news … time doesn’t mean anything to God. He can take all the time you have left to help you overcome all your difficulties. Some things He does on His own and others He helps you to do. I know that as a math instructor, if I do all the problems for my students and they just watch, they will grow very little mathematically. If they attempt them, they are more likely to solve similar ones on a test. It’s the same with us. If God solved all our problems without us doing anything, we’d never grow spiritually.

            Remember the Andre Crouch song, “If I never had a problem, I wouldn’t know that He could solve them.”

 

If you could hear God speak, I believe this is what He would say:

            "I have said many times My children that you are special unto Me. It is your destiny to do good. It is your destiny to obey Me. And it is your destiny to walk in the power of My Spirit. Do not refuse to walk in your destiny; for I paid a high price for you to obtain it. It is not something that you have to earn. I have given it unto you because you are special unto Me. Do not walk in a lifestyle that is less than your destiny. Your destiny is to walk in the excellencies of My Spirit and to never fail to do My will. You shall succeed whenever you allow My Spirit to have His way. I have not destined you for failure but for success. You shall succeed because it is your destiny to do so. You cannot fail. Do not allow the enemy to persuade you otherwise. It is your destiny to be an overcomer. It is your destiny to lead others unto Me. It is your destiny to walk in white with Me in the Heavenlies. Do not allow anyone to persuade you differently. You are My special ones and you are destined for greatness in Me.”

 

            98. My Heavenly Father cares for even the tiny sparrows. I am of much more value to Him than one of those.

 

 

            So we come to the end of the book. We are now two-thirds of the way through our destiny. The final volume will complete our destiny (at least in the New Testament). There will be around 300 different confessions that we can make concerning our destiny. If you haven’t already, get started confessing them each day. Soon you will see results in your life. If you listen to what you say day by day, you can tell it’s beginning to take hold when you’re not always talking about how bad things are or how awful you are.

A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit.

 Good tree cannot produce bad fruit:  

 

Matthew 7:18

18 “A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit.

 

            What kind of fruit are you producing? If you’re a good tree, you cannot produce bad fruit. So, are you producing good fruit? Of course this doesn’t mean you’ll never do anything wrong, but the fruit you’re producing will be coming from the tree you are. If you’re not producing good fruit, make sure you have a personal relationship with Jesus. Ask Him into your heart. If you have, make sure you allow Him to be Lord of your life. There’s nothing so miserable as a Christian living his/her own way. If He’s Lord of your life, you will soon be producing good fruit.

 

If you could hear God speak, I believe this is what He would say:

            "You are Mine, and all that are Mine shall do good. You cannot do otherwise in Me. When you are in Me and I am in you, then you will do only good. You cannot help yourself; for your innermost being is created new in Me and therefore desires to only do good. You cannot fail to do good because of My Spirit within you. You must however choose to let Him have His way and thus to do good. You cannot fail, My children to do good; for that is your new nature.”

 

            97. I am a good tree. Therefore, I cannot produce bad fruit. My fruit is only good.

When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.

 Canceled out the certificate of debt:  

 

Colossians 2:13-14

13 When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions,

14 having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.

 

            There was a long list of things we “owed” because of our sinful life. When Christ died on the cross, that whole list was canceled out. When He was nailed to the tree, so was that list of debts we owed God. It wasn’t because of something we did to deserve it either. It was done almost two thousand years before we were born. It’s hard enough to do something unpleasant for someone we know loves us. How hard would it be to do the same thing for someone we’d never met? Yet Jesus did it for us. It no longer stands between us and God. It was taken out of the way when Jesus was nailed to the tree.

            “I owed a debt I could not pay. He paid a price He did not owe. I needed Someone to take my sins away.”

 

If you could hear God speak, I believe this is what He would say:

            "My children, there were a lot of things crying against you before you came unto Me. The devil had full charge over you and he had many claims against you. When you came unto Me, all that was removed. It was done away with because of the death of My Son. You could not be free as long as He did not die for you. When He died for you, you were set free. You did not know it at the time and you did not experience it until you came unto Me. When you came unto Me, sin died and you were made alive in Me. You are My special ones and I have made provision for you to walk in victory through My Son. He it is who set you free and made you alive unto Me. You cannot die as long as He is in you and you are in Him.”

 

            96. When they nailed Him to the tree, His death canceled out the certificate of debt that I owed.

Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.

 No condemnation:  

 

Romans 8:1-2

1 Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.

 

            Before Jesus, the sins that we committed had us in bondage. We felt condemnation because of them. We knew fear of death, for that is what we deserved. But now we’ve been set free from the fear of death and the bondage of sin. No one and nothing can condemn us. We no longer have a list of dos and don’ts that we have to try to obey in our own strength. We have the Holy Spirit indwelling us to help us overcome temptation. It is actually harder in our own strength to live the Christian life than to obey the Law, but through His power it is easier.

 

If you could hear God speak, I believe this is what He would say:

            "There is nothing that you have done that cannot be forgiven. There is nothing that you will do that will not be forgiven. You are the life and light of the world. Without you, the world would die. It is only alive now because of you. There will come a time when you will be gone, and then the world will die. It cannot die as long as you are in it; for it must remain until the time. The time draws near, but is not yet. Occupy until I come. You are free from all sin and all the things of the world; but you can let them weigh you down if you do not resist the temptation to follow after the paths of sin instead of righteousness.”

 

            95. I am in Christ Jesus. Therefore, there is now no condemnation for me.
